Meet our Authors

Kaustav Pallav
An electronics and telecommunication engineering graduate, Kaustav believes in the ancient Indian saying of vade vade jayate tattvabodhah. Having served at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, which is a government of India enterprise, for little less than three years, Kaustav wanted to build a career in the Indian bureaucracy. His experience with UPSC CSE interested him more in the subject of Foreign Policy and he inclined to learn about ideas concerning the global world order and international politics. His interest has now taken shape in the form of The Attaché: Diplomacy and the Nation. Kaustav conceptualized and founded this think tank in 2024. He was previously associated with Youth Forum on Foreign Policy as a team lead. A reader and a keen learner, his interests also extend to climate financing, public policy, and energy economics.

Subhrangshu Pratim Sarmah
Subhrangshu Pratim Sarmah is currently a doctoral candidate at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He holds a Master's degree and an M.Phil. from JNU, and a Bachelor's degree from Hindu College, University of Delhi. Previously, he interned at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and CNN International. His research focuses on the Indo-Pacific, the Quad, the EU's response to the Gaza crisis, and politics in Northeast India. Vaishnavi Bhaskar
Vaishnavi Bhaskar is passionate about International Relations and is deeply interested in how countries interact on political, economic and cultural levels. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from National Law School, Bengaluru, and is eagerly exploring ways to promote sustainable development on a global level.

Arunudoi Bhattacharya
Fascinated by the pulse of geopolitics and geo-economics, Arunudoi loves to explore how nations navigate the complex web of political, economic, and cultural interactions on the global stage.
A graduate engineer, he is currently working as a Consultant at Ernst & Young (EY), gaining experience in policy research, data analysis, and program management to craft impactful solutions.

Oonmona Das
Oonmona Das is an MPhil candidate in Global and Area Studies at the University of Oxford delving into the subjective of conflict resolution and development from a comparative area studies lens. She has worked with the Ministry of External Affairs in the Emigration Policy and Welfare Division as a Research Associate working on the area of labour migration, mobility and diaspora. She then moved on to the Embassy of Brazil in New Delhi as their Public Diplomacy Officer. Oonmona joined Oxford in October 2023 to continue her higher studies and very recently completed the International Civilian Peacebuilding Training Programme organised by the Austrian Centre for Peace with financial support from the Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs.

Mridugunjan Deka
Mridugunjan Deka is a Senior Research Fellow (UGC) at the Department of Political Science, Gauhati University. He has an MPhil in Political Science from Gauhati University. He was previously associated with the Department of Historical Studies at the University of Cape Town as a Research Assistant. He post-graduated from the Centre of Peace and Conflict Studies at TISS Guwahati and undergraduated in History from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He has been a visiting lecturer at TISS-G and the Centre for South East Asian Studies at Gauhati University

Oditi Patgiri
Oditi Patgiri is a second-year Global Affairs student at O.P. Jindal Global University, with a keen interest in International Relations, particularly in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Northeast India.
An experienced event host, Oditi excels in engaging with audiences and fostering meaningful discussions. She served as the Secretary-General of NPSMUN 2023-2024, demonstrating her leadership skills and dedication to empowering youth through dialogues on global affairs. Oditi has also gained valuable experience through internships with the Assam State Commission for Women, the Centre for European Studies (JGU), and the Centre for Afghanistan Studies (JGU), where she is a Core Member. She also serves as the Research Head for Hargila Desk.
